The 57th ATLS Course was successfully completed by IIEMS in Kochi!

The treatment of trauma necessitates a methodical and holistic approach. At IIEMS Kochi, the 57th batch of ATLS students was successfully trained. This batch of students includes a group of young doctors who were enthusiastic about their work.

The ATLS course is more intensive than other courses such as BLS, ACLS, and ITLS. The course necessitates a thorough understanding of medical theory as well as practical practise. Along with these abilities, the attitude displayed by the surgeon in emergency situations adds to the appeal of the course. Thankfully, the 57th batch was made up of potential surgeons who are committed to improve patient care in the future.

IIEMS, which is affiliated with the American College of Surgeons (ACS), administers the ATLS Course in Kochi in accordance with the international standards suggested by the ACS. The senior training faculty is familiar with the established norms and may teach trainees how to address a trauma patient in a disciplined manner.

During the ATLS Course, the skills of quick decision making and analysis are emphasised. These abilities have the potential to save patients in life-threatening situations. ATLS begins by putting candidates through medical simulation training to develop these skills. After this session, the candidates are informed about the first hour of basic assessment and priority management.

Interactions take place during group sessions, where students and professionals share their previous experiences. The points raised throughout the conversation were combined to develop a more effective plan.

The lesson concludes with a live demonstration of the theory discussed in class. The first level of practicals is carried out on mannequins, followed by the study of live human situations. The children did this by acting out real-life stressful circumstances and learning from one another.

Last but not least, learning never ceases, especially when it comes to the medical industry. Medical technology has improved people's ability to live longer lives. IIEMS, as a centre for BLS, ACLS, ITLS, and ATLS certification (AHA), is always upgrading our courses to meet the demands and expectations of modern times.
